A PLACE SET APART

Creative Spaces

INTERIOR DESIGN • RENTALS

Jennifer’s creative spaces are another form of her art – eclectic and filled with layers and experiences. They are a reflection of who she is on the inside, brought forth on a tangible level. Whether she is designing and creating art, a home, or an event, her signature style is apparent and lovingly treated with meticulous detail.

“We were so impressed by the surroundings upon first glance, and fascinated by the taste and design of the owner. I love the natural wooden texture all over the place, but also noticed lots of delicate ideas in the space. I wish I could meet with the owner and thank her for her generosity and creativity. It was absolutely perfect. We just loved it.”

 BACKGROUND

Jennifer bought her first house in 1983 – a 500 year old farmhouse in Ibiza, Spain. With no water or electricity, and a leaking roof, the adventure and passion for creating interesting spaces was born. From then on she sought out unusual locations and places to renovate; an old jam factory in Paris transformed into a loft with an interior garden, and a 16th century building in a Paris suburb was gutted and turned into a 700 square meter multi-level home and art studio. An old rambling Victorian on the edge of a historic village in California was reduced to a facade and then rebuilt from the ground up – modern, open and loft like on the inside; a perfect venue to exhibit her collages. She subsequently designed and built a 34-foot tall redwood and cedar water tower guesthouse on the same property, with glorious views up and down the Northern California coast. Nestled in the towering Redwoods, on a five acre lot just a few minutes away, Jennifer designed and oversaw the construction of a 2,000 square foot art studio / barn made from mostly recycled materials, complete with an upstairs “Forest Suite” retreat for guests to enjoy.

Jennifer has coordinated Mendocino Film Festival events, weddings, art and garden tours, private parties, and films and commercials. Her Mendocino venues are all available for rent.

“Jennifer has been the Events Coordinator for the Mendocino Film Festival since its inception ten years ago. She has helped establish the standard of excellence, quality, and elegance that we are known for, and it has been a pleasure working with her.”
