“Jennifer has been prodigious in the exhibition of her works. She received a national award for her piece “Coltrane” at the New York City JVC Jazz Festival Exhibition, and received critical acclaim from “La Gazette de L’Hotel Drouot” for her New York themed show “Gotham” at the Galerie Adler in Paris.
Working between her studios in the Sequoia forests of Mendocino and Europe, Taylor has exhibited internationally from the renowned Museo Vittoriano in Rome to the halls of the United Nations in New York.
“During my many years living in France, I had the extraordinary opportunity to spend time in the studios of various celebrated European artists. I was very lucky to work with them and to receive through art, above and beyond the technical teaching, true reflection of how one must achieve direction in life. Creating, for me, has been one of the most satisfying replies to the essential question of existence… It has been an incredible gift to meet these masters, to share a little bit of their path, which has in turn helped me find my own way. With their guidance, I discovered that mixed media/collage would be one form of my artistic expression. It has been very exciting to travel to different countries and use whatever I find around me to create my collages; paper, paint, dirt, leaves, cloth, etc. I love the spontaneity of it. I continue to look forward to all the unknown things I will come across that will inspire me in the future.” – Jennifer
“This American artist is showing works placed under a blazing sign of dynamism and speed. In this way, Jennifer Taylor is an incarnation of her time. She combines fragments of memory and knowledge of pictorial movements with the culture of her origin, which leads to the appropriation of the most diverse techniques. She has achieved a mastery of these borrowings, and has managed to dominate them.
